Participants: Jirel Flyr, Vhel, Cornix the Beaker, Arka Omnis, Saiki Keylar, Gharok, Selene, Sir Caterwald
Locations: Stone's Warden
Loose ends: phasing device; Barghests, Undead and Aberrations; entrance to Stone's Warden blocked
Short summary:
A group ventured into the depths of Stone's Warden, where they encountered all manner of nasty creatures. They managed to reach the heart of the subterranean laboratory while being constantly shifted and shuffled by a phasing device. Upon reaching this contraption, they fought against some kind of powerful spellcaster, and disabled the device, taking it back to First Landing for research, while the cove collapsed all around them.

Arriving at the cove, we found the corruption of groundwater remained. The cove where the door was found previously was occupied by Barghests. They were dealt with swiftly. A cache of smuggled runes was found. Potent stuff. We found the location littered with traps. I will not be describing them all, because the location being made inaccessible renders the information irrelevant.
Inside, a device split the large party due to dimensional interference from time to time. (I have no clue what that means, but Vhel figured something like it, and she's probably right).
The creatures inside we encountered were Aberrations, Mimics, Unknown shades, and stranger. Near the end of the dungeon we found an altered creature, some sort of tentacled monster, seemingly powered by what I am told is a 'universal catalyst'. I'll caution all readers against drinking any black goop they come across, cause that thing was nasty.
Even deeper, there was a mage(?) guarding the phasing device. Having taken them down, we appropriated the device, and escaped. During our escape, the location was destroyed, and the cove collapsed. No further exploration seems possible. All in all, an acceptable mission result. With those new runes, I'll finally be able to tackle that chimera.
Wish me luck, Jirel Broken Ear
