Xamak / Kamax

This Shatterling has split (dual) personality - Xamak and Kamax. He was trapped on the Shadow Plane a long time ago, alone with his mirrors, which drove him to mental instability. 

The former is a timid, careful and skittish thing, who cares about the small details, who mends the broken mirrors with a touch. Xamak is a philosopher who stares into the infinite reflections and contemplates existence, who finds beauty in the way the light shifts when one moves.

The latter is the nihilistic, cruel and rage-filled thing that achieves his goals at all costs. He stared into the abyss long enough to see it staring back and warping him. He hated his prison, an emotion that he eventually turned towards himself and his other persona, seeking to inflict harm to both. Kamax often shatters the mirrors in anger, causing mental pain to Xamak. 

While Xamak can keep Kamax at bay with great concentration and force of will, the shift sometimes happens randomly, or when Xamak is in great distress. 

This Shatterling was freed when Paul Darthe, Bethany Claie, Reiko Amiri and Dolen Harven visited the Temple of the Two Suns. He remains there, still in the company of his mirrors, but with Elgie and Beety as his roommates, and Marsyas a frequent visitor. They are all slowly building a sense of camaraderie, though Beety is wary of all things Shadow - which includes Ombretta.
