Full Report

After Diane is forced to abandon Mesper on a previous quest, she puts together a rescue effort.

The party sets out from Roanokae Camp, encountering Jean along the way. He hears about Mesper, and decides to aid in his rescue.

The party goes into Javervale under (mostly) false pretenses, in order to find and extract Mesper with minimal uproar. They interrogate a smattering of civillians, but quickly two things become apparent:
1) The population of Javervale is under strict surveillance, using a sophisticated watchtower and mirrors system.
2) Most have no clue what goes on in the darker reaches of the town.

The party decides to force their way into contact with the higher-ups in town, meeting with Ingo. Ingo gives no information about Mesper, but accedes to the demand of the party to be toured through house Astrodius facilities to show that they have nothing to hide.

Resting in a tavern, the party is attacked by night, while they wait for the tour. The attackers were never properly identified but it can be assumed they were goons of Ingo.

The following morning, Ingo is caught in a contradiction, unsettling the party. Diane and Jean follow the tour, while the rest follows the more promising lead of Wulf Astrodius, the house Astrodius physician.

The party regroups, breaks into the facility, and finds Mesper. They kill several guards in the process.

At the exit they are awaited by Ingo, who monologues evilly, a summoned angel, and several elementals. Ingo locks Jean into a spectacular psychic duel, while the rest fights a hard-fought battle against the hench-angel.

The party scrapes by the skin of their teeth, but just as Ingo looks to be all out of juice, he Dimension Door's away.

A moment is spent interrogating Wulf before the extraction of Mesper is completed despite having no access to his recaller.
