A rowdy frost Unknown of the Bitter Storm Clan, who got put on gate duty for loudly badmouthing the Jarl, Svæin comes off as one with more bark than bite. He was first encountered during the events of Of the Hills, Our Bones (Part 2), guarding a gate to Wyrm's Fall together with Balki Iulisson.
