Khorasan is an Ovinnik, a House Spirit type of Fey, who lives in and runs one of the many granaries and bakeries of Meridian, called 'Monsieur Khorasan's Boulangerie and Pâtisserie'. He was encountered during Taste the Rainbow.
Khorasan's Bakery: The establishment is hard to miss. The storefront is rather ostentatious, and the sign that hangs above the wide door is enchanted, its letters glowing. Within, it is a paradise of flavour. Every available surface features baked goods – some of which you've never seen and thus couldn't even name. Curiously, among all of these pastries and cakes, you spot the most random of objects that stick out from the rest and clearly don't belong in a place like this – identified later as Impossible Cakes. - Viktor

Apart from his innate protective duties over his bonded location, Khorasan also works here as a baker and pastry maker, but his skills include other culinary arts as well, which he displayed when he presented a grandiose feast to the visitors from First Landing.
Khorasan doesn't particularly like Heidrun, especially after Saorie posed as her to threaten him – trickery that he isn't aware of. He is also not a big fan of Midday Meal Mayhem, believing it to be rigged in favour of Eleutheria and Avilion, and thus he doesn't participate.
Khorasan is an arrogant and self-aggrandising creature, claiming that his skills are unparalleled, which isn't exactly untrue, since his products are hard to be rivaled. This only fuels his ego, but he is a rather cowardly person, which was best seen when it was discovered that he made a deal with the mysterious voice from the sewers. He intended to escape the city once things got too dire, bringing all of his preserved food with him.
This presence sent a swarm of jackal-headed, pestilent rats to Khorasan's bakery, threatening to ruin him. In order to avoid it, he was told to infect Heidrun's delivery of yeast with vile powder that altered the alchemical composition of the batch, causing it to be animated and ultimately consume Bacon, Scrambles's boar companion.
