Full Report
After the party has gathered, the ghostly specter of a woman, Signora Capriccia approaches to petition their help. She wants to travel back to Gearhome for one final performance before moving on to her afterlife. The party agrees and has to travel through the Greyspine Mountains and traverse a series of underground tunnels from there. However travel is uneventful until the group finds its way to an imposing bronze door, large enough to fit a giant. Tinkado and Crackle work together to pry the door open for everyone to rush through. Capriccia guides the party along using a railcar system to arrive at a station of some kind with malfunctioning automatons.
The party thought they could sneak through the city but was stopped immediately by a massive bot the size of an entire house! "IMPURE LIFEFORMS: HALT AND BE DISPOSED OF!" the bot screeched out in Dwarven! The party sprang into action. Tinkado using his dualstrike stance to overwhelm the Garbotron with strikes. Beth began to aim for a well placed shot. Swampy focused on buffing Crackle. Crackle began laying out strikes to draw its attention. Young Elder weaved spells and commands with his menagerie of beasts to attack and heal where needed. "SYSTEMS CRITICAL. ENGAGING EMERGENCY MEASURES." the bot lets out in a final sequence. The party fought long and hard but eventually ended the construct.
A small conversation between Swampy and Beth took place about the dragons, kobolds, the Taint, gods and their offerings, and the reputations of the New World factions. Young Elder commented how his power is his own, and he attributes that to no god. We also learned about Tinkado and how he was banished in his young for killing demons. We also learned he became a killer for hire and came to the New World to start over.
Pushing onwards the party makes it to the theatre. All but Swampy are forced into playing a part.
Scene 1: A clarion call
Yimtel and prince Becorat proclaim their assured victory over the serpents in the heat of battle. They cheer the bravery of all the soldiers and make promises of grand celebrations once all is concluded. The army and soldiers push the serpentfolk lines back. However this was a tactical retreat as in walks a hydra with many heads. It gets the advantage by injuring the price, forcing Yimtel to sacrifice himself for the good of the kingdom.
Scene 2: A grim call
We transition to Victoria, a genius scientist who is met with Prestina, her best friend as she is practicing her dancing. The two friends eventually walk home together before being found by Becorat. Unfortunately he has to break the news that Yimtel, Prestina's fiancée has died for the service of king and country. They travel to his grave so she may mourn properly. Becorat starts the first song of the play and begins training new soldiers to fight the Hydra.
