- Doriel is a form assumed by Huēhuehtetz during the age of the Elves, as well as commonly even today, serving as an artist at Lady Sjel's Pearlescent Court.
- He is inspired by Dorian Grey; 'Grisard' means 'grey-haired'.
The Palette
For his (un)painting process, Doriel requires unusual pigments and paints.
Millenium Green
- A shade that shifts between the colder evergreens of sequoia needles, and the richer, warmer tones of oak leaves, depending on how sunlight hits it.
- A long distillation process to extract the natural pigments from leaves.
- Often used in the coats of arms and other heraldry of Fey royalty and nobility, particularly those inhabiting the Millenium Forest.
- When specially treated by ???, it is transformed into Millenium Red, a brownish redwood pigment.
- According to Doriel, Millenium Green can be used to depict restraint, and conformation to expectations and the established norms, but also freedom of expression, and capricious unpredictability.
- When applied over other colours, or mixed with other pigments, it can also provide concealment, locking away other meanings or dulling them. In this capacity, it often naturally transitions into Millenium Red with time, but if the green is preserved, it can enhance other colours' meanings instead, or expand
Cynorite Yellow
- A pale, translucent and iridescent yellow, similar to the colour of a lemon chiffon cake.
- One of the main official colours of Cynosure.
- The main component is the crystal powder of Luminous Warpglass, mixed with the Glam-clam glitter. made from ground nacre of a seashell species found only in the waters around the Garland.
- Always warm to the touch.
- Sometimes mixed into other drugs as an energising component. Those who live in Cynosure and became inured to its vitality, as well as those who visited the city and yearn for the euphoric feeling again, often use Cynorite Yellow raw and undiluted, as a drug of its own.them.
