Vodda the Dragonchaser is Unknown living in the Harbour District of Cynosure, where he runs a magic shop called "Chase the Dragon". number of signs, written in quirky, meandering Draconic, lead to the business, and befitting its name, customers never find the closest sign, and instead must 'chase' the shop by following a trail of these signs, even when they know where the structure should be located.

Hidden slightly out of the way within the Harbour of Cynosure, 'Chase the Dragon' is a ruin, formerly connected to the surrounding architecture seamlessly, but now severed from it by the toll of ages. Reiko and Ariana arrive, climbing the curved staircase to reach the first floor.

The floors and walls are littered by items and devices that look out of place, to say the least, almost... anachronistic? As if some of them don't exactly belong in this era. Perhaps, the shopkeeper gathered them from Dwarven vaults and the like, which are famous for featuring advanced, if peculiar, items.

There is a multitude of products, all aesthetically tied to the seas in some way – they are made of coral, sea glass, underwater volcanic rock, pearls, driftwood, and similar substances. However, what interests Reiko right now is not stuff, but knowledge, and a plethora of it is available as well, mostly in the form of scrolls, fulus, inscribed tablets, whale bones, etc. The same spells are present as wands too, in case she suddenly changes her mind, and wants to splurge; not all of them are mere magic sticks however, but are instead shaped like calligraphy brushes, long smoking pipes, ornate chopsticks, and the like.

Vodda has blue scales, some paler, some vibrant, and most of them seem more fish-like than reptilian, indicating his Undine heritage. Unusually for a Kobold, his snout is longer, and he also has white, slicked back hair, and a long goatee

Vodda is finely dressed, and always carries a smoking pipe and a cane with him. A bit of a wilder look visits his eyes sometimes, and his speech is riddled by puzzling jargon.

According to Niloufer, Vodda used to be "somewhat of a big deal" among his own people, the Voyagers' Tribe. He is also a member and supplier of Niloufer's Lotus-eaters, and offers his services to the Tower of Glass as well.

GM Notes

Cynosure

- Named after the Serbian / Russian word for "water".

- "Chasing the dragon" is an expression used in relation to drugs. Vodda indeed indulges in psychedelics, and is a member of Niloufer's secret society, the Lotus-eaters. He also sells a variety of drugs.

- Speaks using a lot of surfer jargon. Ask Viktor for the glossary that he made.

- Formerly called Father Tempest, he was the leader of the Voyagers' Tribe, and the equivalent of Father Lightning and the rest. He retired, and left the Unknown tribe behind, eventually settling in Cynosure. His village is somewhere within the Ebissian Sea.

- He left to actually and literally chase the (Sea) Dragon of his tribe, but strayed from the path and abandoned his mission, choosing the life of pleasure. This could have been a machination of an Ancient One, intended to weaken the Kobolds while still unable to directly influence them.

- He is a Heavenscribe Kobold as well as an Undine.
