The Inspectorate is the city's main investigative force, responsible for investigation crimes and - nominally - for bringing the guilty to justice.
They are notoriously understaffed, recruiting from the City Watch and commonly struggling to find capable investigators among their "blunt instruments". As a result, they often delegate their duties to private investigators, which themselves often have personal stakes in the events they are sent to investigate.
They are headquartered in the Iron Tower, in the Judicial District.
