Stonebrook

Stonebrook is a highly urban part of the Riverside, mostly home to hill dwarves. The first bridge across the Muir River was constructed here, and connects the quarter to the City Center. The buildings of Stonebrook, as well as the bridge itself, are mostly constructed from solid stone, which has been processed by the quarter's masons, into massive blocks. The city's Stonemasons' Guild is still headquartered in the quarter, and heavily influenced by dwarven practices.

The quarter is proud to only grant access to few other outsiders. For this same reason, Stonebrook also has its own guard force of only dwarves, who patrol its streets. It also has few points of access, through massive gates. The buildings of the quarters that face the outside, have no outward facing doors or windows, through which one could enter.

Although Stonebrook does not technically have any special status within Blackrock, the city's and district's government mostly leave it to handle its own affairs. As such, it is common for native dwarves caught committing crimes to be transferred to Stonebrook, to face justice there. Dwarf justice does tend to be harsher than Blackrock's at large, anyway.
