The devilfly is a species related to the common dragonfly, native to western Australia. It can reach a wingspan of 80cm and a weight of 200g. Devilflies are carnivores that prefer eating small prey like spiders or snakes, and are welcomed in many communities for that. While usually solitary, sometimes devilflies may form a small horde of a dozen or more. This horde may hunt and consume larger prey like dogs, birds of prey and human babies. Their meat is a delicacy in the city of Farenday.
