The Ishapore 2A1 is an Indian bolt-action rifle, essentially a Short Magazine Lee-Enfield Mk. III rechambered for 7.62x51mm NATO. It was conceived as a reserve arm, able to be produced in vast quantities far faster than modern battle and assault rifles. The 2A1 version differentiates itself from the original 2A by its more realistic maximum sight range of 800m, compared to 2000m for the original.
