The Hunting Spear is a short spear fit with a tin bronze or, more commonly in the modern day, a wrought iron or steel spearpoint. It is usually about 1.5 metres long and is optimised for throwing rather than thrusting but can do both. These spears resemble traditional Aboriginal spears the most, and often times the only true difference is in their intended use.
