Toolboxes are indispensable items for the modern world. Nearly every piece of machinery will require maintenance at some point, particularly vehicles. A typical Oceanykan toolbox carries a collection of wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, a tape measure, nuts, bolts, screws and multiple rolls of the always-useful duct tape. Your typical filled-to-the-brim toolbox is usually extremely heavy, making it unadvisable to bring one on foot.

Gameplay

The Toolbox is useful for repairing vehicles. However, this requires Mechanics 2. Higher levels boost the Toolbox's capabilities.

  • In the field, it can restore up to 10% of the vehicle's Max. DUR.
  • In a settlement, it can restore up to 25% of the vehicle's Max. DUR.
  • Note that the Toolbox cannot normally restore critical components such as blown-up weapons or engines, a typical result of a Critical Hit. However, it can temporarily restore the engine, just enough so that the vehicle gets to the closest settlement. Once there, seeking attention from a professional mechanic is advised.
