.🌊 Straasha, the Water King
Lord of the Tides, Purifier of the Deep
Greater Deity of Oceans, Rivers, Storms, and Water Elementals
Alignment: Neutral
Worshipped By: Sailors, riverfolk, fishermen, water-mages, and elementalist clerics
📜 Lore & Origin
Straasha (STRAH-shaaa) is the ancient Water King, one of the first elemental sovereigns to emerge from the raw chaos of creation. He rules over rivers, lakes, rains, and the upper seas, and all water elementals trace their being to his breath. He is revered as a father of currents, a god whose moods rise with the tide—sometimes still as a moonlit bay, sometimes howling in rage as a typhoon.
Unlike most elemental lords, Straasha takes an active role in the moral balance of the world, opposing the foul corruption of Pyaray, the Chaos god of the abyss and sunken dead. He considers Pyaray’s black fleets and undead mariners an abomination—unnatural rot in what should be a source of life and renewal.
🌊 Depiction
Straasha appears as a towering figure of roiling water, sometimes humanoid, sometimes fluidly shifting between wave-crested serpent and armored sea king. His crown is coral and stormcloud, his voice the crash of surf. In murals and icons, he is shown as a wave bearing a trident, or an old mariner with kelp-beard and eyes like whirlpools.
His dual nature—gentle, life-giving waters and raging storm-lord—is deeply honored and feared by sailors.
