Born as the only son of the Kairos family, his early life was relatively simple. While not a wealthy family, his parents offered him a decent education and during his years spent at a prestigious acting college he met his future wife Ashild and they got married.
Shortly after that they had two daughters and life seemed to go their way.
Several years later, an opportunity presented itself for the family to distinguish itself. The Kairos improvisation actors weren't known outside of their city, but that was about to change as a major drama stage play prepared for one of the Great Houses had an unfortunate accident and one of the major support character's actor was wounded.
Due to the lack of time, Damocles pushed for his wife, the best performer he knew, to take the role and improvise alongside with the rest of the cast. The show was an immense success, as even the most cold hearted audience members were brought to tears by Ashild's acting.
Her performance brought attention and recognition, as the Kairos family was elevated greatly. Sadly the celebrations were cut short, as Ashild fell ill, dying from a lethal poison. A through investigation revealed that the culprit was the lead actor, who, robbed of his moment to shine, had poisoned the woman and then bribed the doctor who looked after her to make sure she died and that no evidence was left behind.
Even with the killer found and brought to justice, the grief was too much, as Damocles decided to use his new found fame and wealth to reestablish the House on a different planet, moving to one of the edge worlds in the Imperium - trying to put this tragedy behind him and focus on his two most important things in his life, his daughters.
