Blacksmith: Kingsreach Smithy
A large sign hangs outside: "The Fire Smiles on the Steel. Kingsreach Smithy." A square-side porch leads to the front of the building. Weapons, armour and tools fill up the many racks and in the middle of this store, atop a pedestal, is an anvil decorated with a sun on each side and a smooth golden surface embedded in the iron at the top. The store is filled with adventures from all around the continent, and sometimes beyond, shopping for new weaponry and armour to aid them on their travels.
The heat of the forge and the rhythmic sound of steel hitting steel come from behind the register. At the back of the building is a massive forge that can allow up to 20 blacksmiths to work individually. The Kingsreach Smithy is regarded one of the more prestigious forges in Westfield, with nearly every Elite Blacksmith having studied here under a Master Blacksmith. Currently, the Kingsreach Smithy is home of Unknown, the Master Blacksmith who forged Crestfyre.
Boulangerie: Golden Hearth
The moment you step inside, a wave of warm, buttery air hits. Walnut shelves overflow with braided breads, crusty wheels, honey-glazed rolls, and experimental “tournament breads” made for visiting travelers. A giant enchanted grain mill turns slowly in the corner, powered by a gentle earth spirit bound generations ago. The Boulangerie is lead by a stout human named Sammuel, who is always looking to create something new.
Boutique Blümenlein
A vibrant flower boutique owned by a mixed family of four. The Elven mother is a caring soul who delicately arranges and decorates the requested bouquets, while the Human father is a jovial man who often chats with the customers. If they are not picking flowers, their half-elven children run around excitingly, helping their parents, or customers, in any way they can.
Church of the Noble
The north-eastern street from the Town's Square directly leads to a sizeable church capable of holding a respectable amount of congregants. The Church is dedicated The Noble, whom many believe to have played a part in the founding of Kingsreach. Faith in the village is and has always been strong, but grew signigically after the Unknown. The current priestess, Unknown, is well-loved by the people and has throughout the years often been visited by members of House Agolith, due to her playing a major role in the aforementioned event.
Citizens Commons
Unknown is a common goods store-franchise that originates from Avarel and is owned by Olivia Seastruck. Rumour has it that every Citizens Commons has a hidden stash with black-market items relevant to the region.
Jewelled Crown Tavern
A three-story tavern, that is able to house a large number of travelers on their journey. Excellent food, strong ale and impeccable service make your stay worthwhile. There is even a small stage in the main seating area where, more often than not, either a local or travelling bard performs their songs. While the tavern always seems, smells and sounds filled up, there always seems to be a room available.
Walnut beams rise overhead, barely visible through drifting pipe smoke, and lanternlight glows warmly across the three bustling sections of the tavern. At the bar, lone wanderers hunch over mugs, trying to carve a moment of quiet amid the chaos. The central tables are a roaring sea soldiers and locals bellowing over music. In the side booths, noblemen and merchants converse more gently.
Kingsreach Manor
This Royal Manor was built by Sigwald I Agolith mainly as a countryside retreat, but has since developed into an important stronghold for Westfield. Baroness Unknown, overseer of wheat distribution across Unknown, resides here. It lies beyond the Town Hall in a restricted area with it's own wheat fields.
Lisa's House
The house of Unknown's former lover Lisa. The windows are decorated with vibrant flowers from Boutique Blümenlein and the outside walls are covered in ivy. Lisa and Karstoff are both buried together in the backyard and their daughter and granddaughter currently live in the house.
Priestess' House
House of Unknown. She lives near the church in a house no different than the others. Warm walnut wood shapes nearly every surface of her home, giving it a gentle amber glow. Sunlight filters through small, leaded-glass windows onto polished floors and carved beams softened with linen drapes. A modest altar occupies one corner of the main room with candles, pressed flowers, and handwritten prayers. Shelves of herbal texts, simple ceramics, and neatly folded robes line the walls. A long walnut table holds dried herbs, ink pots, and a half-finished sermon. Her bed is sturdy but graceful, covered in soft wool.
Town's Square
A statue of Agolith’s Sun rests on a fountain in the middle of the square. It has been magically altered to function as a clock, using four statues at each side of the square as reference points. The northern statue is of Sigwald I Agolith and functions as the 12, the eastern one is of Aeghart Redmayne and functions as the 3, Providentia Forest's statue on the southern side of the square is the 6 and the eastern statue of Aerowyn is the 9. The square, situated in the middle of Kingsreach, has four roads connnected to it, each going between two statues. The north- and south-western streets both lead back to the main road. The north-eastern street leads to the Church and the south-eastern street gets you to the Town Hall and Kingsreach Manor.
Surrounding the square are a handful of buildings such as the entrance to Kingsreach Smithy's store, the Jewelled Crown Tavern, Golden Hearth and Citizens Commons.
Town Hall
Located in the south-eastern section of the village; the Town Hall gleams with vivid red tiles, spotless white plaster, and flawless timber, as if newly crafted every dawn. Beyond the imposing administrative build is a large restricted wheat field, cut in half by a road leading from the back of the Town Hall to a riverside Royal Manor. Royal Agolithian soldiers can be seen patrolling the premises.
