Primonavea

I. What Was and What Wasn't

First there was What Was and What Wasn’t. Then emerged Alíl, Ûraizi, Anaki and Amaílla who were the Primordials Air, Fire Earth and Water accordingly. Their nature was to take over and expand across what was and what wasn’t, and so they did. Their domains expanded and clashed on unimaginable scales. The winds extinguished the flames, and the flames vaporised the waters, and the waters eroded the earth, and the earth broke the winds. There was no rest, there were no words spoken and there was no time passed, for all these things did not exist in the primal stages of Existence.

II. The First Words

However it would not be long. For when all the Nothingness was covered, and the Primordials roamed freely, and there was nothing left to do but roam, an egg was found at the center of it all. It floated on the winds of Alíl, it burned as hot as the flames of Ûraizi, it was as strong as the earth of Anaki and it lay hatching in the waters of Amaílla. It was then first that the Primordials did not clash, yet there was still no rest. For Alíl conjured a mighty storm, and Ûraizi unleashed his fiery rage, and Anaki built a prison of stone, and Amaílla caused an unseen flood. And roared it did, but not as loud as what was about to come. For when the wind died down, and the fire was extinguished, and the stone prison was broken, and the water dissipated it became silent, but not for long. A crack appeared in the egg which unleashed an echo throughout all the four domains, louder than all the primordial clashes combined. It stunned the four primordials, and as they stopped moving, so did the Essence in their domains. And for a moment Existence was silent, until the next crack. And this repeated itself until there were Six cracks. It was then that the egg hatched, and it did so combining the force of all Six roars before.

In place of the egg stood They, Caellus, Father of Who Are and Mother of Who Will Be, who was later known by their Second Children as Deus. And their roar unfroze the Primordials, who watched in awe as their Six wings span the entire Existence. The wings thundered through Existence, which stilled the winds of Alíl, and subdued the flames of Ûraizi, and softened the earth of Anaki and calmed the waters of Amaílla. As a first there was rest, which would not be known this way again until Ultimonavea. Caellus opened their maw once more as the primordials braced for another thunderous roar. And it came, but it was different. Though it was thunderous, it was also soothing. “And lo, the days of thine clash are accomplished, for my arrival is now.” And so the First Words were spoken, and they were of indomitable might like the world will never see again until Ultimonavea. It was then Alíl, who was wisest of the four primordials, that learned the art of speech first and responded, “But who art thou, that thou shouldst stay us in our might and hinder our ordained expansion throughout Existence.” And then it was silent, for Caellus responded first with the passing of time. It was after this passing of time, that they turned towards the primordial or wind and uttered the final of the First Words, “I Am.”

III. Primus Fundamentum

The First Words were spoken with such might, that the Primordial Essence shifted and caused the retraction of the primordial domains. The Four Primordials attempted to clash against the force of Caellus’ Words, but were ultimately defeated and bound to their domains. In this, Other was formed to deny the return of the ever-consuming Nothingness. From Other and at will by Caellus emerged who would be known as the Primunati, or First Children, of Caellus. Chief among them were Abbellus and Caine, Bahamut and Tiamat, and Rūpa and Nāma, who would together form the Primus Fundamentum. With Abbellus and Caine becoming the incarnation of Virtus and Peccatum, and Bahamut and Tiamat becoming the incarnation of Good and Evil, and Rūpa and Nāma becoming the incarnation of Physicality and Spirituality. Though birthed from the might of Caellus, in thought, stature, power and dignity they were considered siblings more so than offspring. “Ye are the first shepherds, chosen for the Primnus Fundementum. Thou, and all who shall come after thee, shalt shepherd my children unto the paradise of their dreams, guiding them with steadfast hands and watchful eyes. But lo, there cometh a need also, for guardians to stand against the primordials, who would deny us our blessed paradise. I seek but twelve for each. Twelve for Alíl, and their domain of wind. Twelve for Ûraizi, and their domain of fire. Twelve for Anaki, and their domain of stone. And Twelve for Amaílla, and their domain of water. These shall be the pillars of our sanctuary, the steadfast sentinels that hold the gates of creation, lest chaos rend asunder the fabric of our sacred haven of Elyziæ.” And so it was that in total, Forty-eight of Caellus’s Primunati flew in groups of Twelve towards each one of the four primordial borders.

IV. Elyziæ and The Descent

Caellus flapped their wings, which caused a thunderous roar that made the primordials freeze in fear. And they continued to do so, until a massing of the four elements formed in the place which had once birthed Caellus. “I will give thee air to breath, fire to light thine way, stone to build and water to shape. With these sacred gifts, create the paradise of our dreams, that all may find rest, joy and fulfillment within its bounds. Prepare ye also for the coming of new kin, mine Secunati, or Second Children, whose days shall be upon Elyziæ after thee, but their days shall be swifter and shorter than thine. Therefore, let patience be their mantle, that they may fulfill their portion in the unfolding of the great design. Together shall ye fashion Elyziæ to be an Elysian Paradise, a haven fair and eternal. But hark, the Starless Night approacheth, cometh with a dreadful Eclipse; a shadow vast and dreadful that threateneth to blot out all hope and light. Should that night fall upon us, the promise of paradise shall be lost forevermore. Therefore, with haste and reverence, labor in unity and faith. Let neither stone nor flame, nor wind nor wave, be forgotten in thy making. For in thy hands lieth the future of all that is, the very breath and beauty of creation itself. And when Elyziæ hath taken its first shape among many to come, then shall I join thee, to walk within the paradise ye have wrought. Go forth, and build with the wisdom of ages and the strength of heavens, that Elyziæ may stand eternal, a beacon of light against the darkness that ever encroacheth.” And the Primunati responded, and took with them the words of Caellus and held them close to their hearts. Whilst there were some who understood, there were others who were to understand later. And unfortunately, there were those who were never going to understand. All descended regardless, and the sight was one to behold. An ethereal rain of stars descended the virgin atmosphere of Elyziæ. Each radiant shard of light falling like whispered blessings from the heavens. As one falling star traced its luminous path and kissed the sacred land, another followed in solemn procession, weaving a tapestry of celestial fire across the dawning sky. As each of the Primunati allowed the untainted elements to overcome them, they were willed with a euphoric feeling, completing the consummation of their promise. Ere long, beneath this shimmering cascade, Elyziæ awoke. The breath of the cosmos sitting in her veins, and the first tender shots of life blossoming in her embrace. The land overgrown with astral grace, filled with wondrous forms of creation that filled the skies with vibrant song utmost radiance.
