The Regiis Solludos was created by Sigwald II Agolith and his counsel to promote and upkeep nationalism amongst the people, fearing it's projected decrease after the death of Sigwald I Agolith. The first edition held in 25 Y.S. saw support of the crown skyrocket back to the same levels as when Sigwald I had taken the throne; it was also considered an economic success for Aerowyn (City). It was then decreed that it would be held every 25 years to honour the past and make sure every generations knew about the Unbekannt.
Most editions saw changes, improvements and additions to the game roster. The general scale of the event would also grow each year, attracting larger audiencies as the years went by. During times of political and economic stability, visitors from beyond Tearithia would journey to Aerowyn to spectate and sometimes even join the games.
The games, both Lesser and Greater are generally always the same. Though over the years, some games have certainty seen some changes happen to them. For the Lesser games this is mostly due to changing trends from a social-cultural perspective. For example, the Unbekannt saw the change from Smell the Ka’Kri to Smell the Autruk (Tearithian slang: Sautrinian slave). The Greater Games, however, are only affected by logistical issues or, in a single instance, in the second edition with the game called Realm of Fortitude. Things quickly went sour behind the scenes resulting in the death of all participants and at least half of the spectators. It was consequently removed from the roster, until the 10th edition where it was reintroduced with a fail safe and increased supervision.
