Description

Can mortals be infused with raw emotions? Does elemental magic carry emotions? Those questions were the basis of the experimentation that Luthien and Vermillion did. The result was the Genasi race. In an attempt to see if humans can be infused with a certain emotion that they retain for their whole life, the two fragments infused human souls with elemental magic. The theory of elemental magic carrying emotions was correct; to an extent. Fire brought anger, water brought love, earth brought fear and air brought sadness. At the start, it seemed like a success, however the emotions did not last permanently as the two gods anticipated. They tried again, infused different amounts of elemental magic each time, hoping to achieve the perfect balance. After a long time of experimentation, they realized that their original theory was wrong. There was no amount of elemental magic that would make the emotions permanent. At best cases, they would come and go at seemingly random intervals. However, by the time they realized that, there were many souls created with this process. Not wanting to waste them, the two fragments passed them to Izalith to find appropriate bodies for them. Izalith took them gladly and gave them unique appearances that would definitely cause confusion and chaos amongst others.
