Adults gathering around the same virtual table, every week, despite their responsibilities, is not an easy feat. In order to make this precious time worth it and enjoyable some basic table etiquette must be followed. While for most this is a given and an obvious expectation, some (usually newer) players might still not be aware.
These are the most important table rules that everyone must follow when participating in a session.
- Do not talk over other people. If you'd like to intervene in a dialogue, Raise your Hand (by pressing H on your keyboard) to indicate you'd like to say something.
- Do not cheat. The VTT keeps logs of most things making it easy to catch cheaters.
- Do not metagame in order to affect other players' decisions.
- Any PC action that might be resulting in great negative effects for the whole group needs to go through a vote.
- Be conscious and manage your interaction time (talking). Let everyone have similarly equal time in the spotlight.
