Crewmate of The Azure Zenith. Joined the crew only a short time before the mutiny, and Onde played a prank on him to introduce him to the ship. Khedu misunderstood the gesture and retaliated by throwing overboard Onde's family heirloom, a fancy hourglass. The two have been at odds ever since.
As a late joiner to the crew, and being aboard nary a moon before the mutiny, The crew often view Khedu as something of an outsider. The bonds of camoraderie borne in adventure never had the chance to seed with him and more than a few blieved he'd sided with them in an act self preservation, not solidarity. He would often take his watches alone, rarely invited drinking, even with his wife Maenesa who gets on with the crew rather well. Indeed, he might be considered fairly isolated, but for the occassional cordial conversation with the equally esoteric and sometimes distance Sumiya, who has been known to approach him from time to time.
