Not much is known about the mythical founder of The Radiant Empire: no one knows their true name or place of birth, and it is said that even their physical appearance was constantly shifting, changing in sex and race even as one was having a conversation with them.
The first record of 312 D.H.in Siyaril, where modern day Luah Mirai would be founded. The Emissary appeared on the day of the Spring Equinox and slew the great dragon Siyaromerhavot, and declared the founding of The Radiant Empire as a kingdom for humankind. Over the following decade the nascent Empire expanded, through both diplomacy and conquest, to encompass the majority of the southwestern reaches of the continent, the region previously known as the Silver Kingdoms.
An year after completing the Empire's expansion, The Emissary presented an infant girl with golden hair and golden eyes to the people of the empire, declaring that she will succeed them as empress once she comes of age. No one knows who the child's other parent was, and the accepted story is that she was created by The Emissary himself out of the pure essence of The Light. The Emissary declared the laws for inheriting the throne of The Empire, proclaiming that a rightful heir to the throne may only be a human who has both been blessed by The Light, and who has attained immortality. The aim of these laws was to provide stability for the Empire, to guarantee that only the righteous may ascend to the throne, and that their reigns would be long and stable. The efficacy of the policy is questionable at best however.
Once the child came of age, she was crowned under the name of Empress Serina Miyalai I, and The Emissary was never seen nor heard of since.
It is believed that The Emissary was a powerful seer and sorcerer, though there are descriptions of miracles they performed that should be impossible to replicate with either form of magic.
