To the east of The Radiant Empire and separated by the Whispering Straights, Paelya is a rough agglomeration of towns and city-states that encompass the majority of the southern reaches of the continent.
Most Paelite cities are mixed cities, with both human and fey citizens. The government structures change from city to city, some with hereditary monarchies, others elected or unelected ruling councils, others yet are ruled by local spirits with communication by shamans and mediums, and some have dragon-kings like in the north.
