A minor spirit of the ocean, Iesela claims her domain on the northern shores of The Radiant Empire, in the reaches between the mainland and Kaeleil Atoll, the easternmost of the The Firebird Atolls near the shores of The Empire.
When manifesting physically, Iesela appears as a relatively small griffin made of aquamarine crystals, but when touched the crystals diffuse into seawater.
Iesela dislikes humans like most of the spirits living in the seas around The Empire, and she attacks sailors passing through her domain whenever she can afford to.
As a relatively weak nature spirit, Iesela can only manifest and interact with physical objects during times of power, such as during twilight. Iesela's domain doesn't have any seafolk clans, but she has good relations with neighbouring spirits and they can come to her aid if she's in trouble.
Her relative weakness leads her to avoid direct confrontation with humans, and she is quick to hide if they show aggression. She tends to attack sailors who are alone in cabins or decks, using tricks and illusory sounds to get people to split up from groups.
