In 2022 there was a scandal involving the creation of a site on the CCH network titled "Hot or Not". It scraped the name of photo of every student allowing others to give them scores based on their appearance. The site would rank them, and even give live updates and stats. Originally it was only for the female students, but a male section was quickly added.

The ripples were huge. Obviously it hurt the already fragile self-esteem of a lot of students, and when word got out to parents and faculty there was an uproar. It was reported on by some local news organizations. Some students loved it, obviously, and regardless of opinions it was used plenty.

The site was blocked and deleted multiple times over the course of a month but kept cropping back up. As a grand finale before the site was shut down for good there were released statistics: every student who voted, along with the scores they gave. The fallout was massive. Eventually the culprit was found (their name never released) and punished. How faculty managed to keep the identity of the individual or individuals who cause the uproar is still a bit of a mystery.

Every year there seems to be a copycat site that crops up, but usually only lasts about a week and never to such dramatic effect.
