Representing the most powerful earth sages within the Earth Kingdom, the Exarchs of the Earth serve directly under the Earth Avatar. Having developed mastery over different characteristic traits of the earth and the life which springs from it, each exarch has a different set of unique Earth-Rifting skills. Selected from the masses of the Earth Kingdom for natural proficiency with the arcane, the Earthen Exarchs must undertake the oftentimes fatal, Trial of Bjorn, trekking to the farthest northern reaches of the Greypeak Mountains and confronting the ancient spirit of Bjorn within the vault of Grimhold. After returning alive from the trial, prospective initiates are ordained into the order by the Earth Avatar himself and battle within the fighting arena in Umber to hone their skills even further. Currently, the Earthen Exarchs are comprised of Exarch Maar, Exarch Kaolin, Exarch Gea, and Exarch Hunk.
