"An unyielding cycle—where ruin begets renewal, and from the embers of oblivion, existence is born anew. The Infinite Continuum is not mercy, nor fate, but a sentence—an eternal waltz of devastation and genesis, bound to the throes of a cosmos that knows no peace."

— The Ascendant Valekith on the nature of the Infinite Continuum.

Established within the prominent sultanate city of Shariz, the Emris Adventuring guild seeks exploration into the furthest reaches of Osira. Aiming to explore what was once lost to the sands of time, and uncover the mysteries surrounding Osiras clouded history, the guild has explored The Sands of Serrakhan and beyond... Founded by the eccentric Headmaster Altair Emris, the guild flourished with an influx of new adventuring talent from across The Sands of Serrakhan, establishing strong relations to the Serrakhan Sultanate in the process. The guild itself is broken into three separate adventuring schools, being the School of the Phoenix, School of the Owl, and School of the Snake, with each tailoring to the specific strengths of the adventurers which reside within it. In order to join the guild, one must undertake the Trials of the Sun, a set of three challenging quests to prove ones mettle as an adventurer.

The Sunsations were a legendary band of adventurers hailing from the Emris Adventuring Guild, with untold exploits across the far reaches of the The Sands of Serrakhan, The Barren Badlands, Burned Woods, The Shadowfell, and Faewylds. Exploring under the late Headmaster Altair Emris' guidance, the group aided in defeating the risen Primarchs of The Sun, crumbled the The Ebony Tower, defeated the Crimson Hand with the aid of the Valekith, and captured Primarch Prometheusamong many other heroic achievements. Although many different heroes would join the band over the course of time, the founding members were composed of Professor Henry Endsworth, Losk the Wanderer, Kairus the Brass, May Bellsprout, Talyen, and Josu. Other notable members included Urs Salbatic, Cendis Eclipse, Obadiah Clay, Saren, Guy the Grateful, Haellae Colaerth, Simmeon, Ramiel, Galahad Wargrym, Ralex, J-A-W, Garnic Hivroth, and Jean Moncrief

Jarund Elkhardt, the son of Staaghorn Elkhardt, former chieftain of the Tribe of The Caribou, was always destined for a path that diverged sharply from that of his father. Unlike Staaghorn, who adhered rigidly to the old ways and sought to appease the cruel deity Borealis with sacrifices of his own people, Jarund saw a brighter, more hopeful future for his tribe. A skilled tracker and trapper, Jarund possessed a keen mind and an independent spirit that set him apart from the other tribesmen. He often questioned the necessity of his father's barbaric practices, which only deepened the divide between father and son.

The turning point in Jarund's life came when The Sunsations, a group of renowned adventurers, arrived in The Vale of Everwinter. Staaghorn, driven by his fear of Borealis and his belief in the old rituals, drugged the adventurers with hallucinogenic mushrooms harvested from the surrounding arctic forest. He then bound them to a sacred rune-rock as an offering to the Warden of Winter. However, Jarund, who had been observing the events with a heavy heart, could not stand by and watch innocent lives be sacrificed. Seeing an opportunity to enact the change he so desperately desired, Jarund secretly aided the adventurers in their escape, proving his bravery and defiance of his father's will.

After helping The Sunsations escape, Jarund joined them on their journey to the Festival of Frost, where they sought to aid the Druids of the Ice Realm, who had also suffered greatly under the relentless incursions of Frost Giants. During the ensuing Cold-Front Confrontation, Jarund fought alongside the adventurers, displaying his skill and valor in battle. The confrontation ended with the death of Harkon Chillbringer, one of Borealis's most devoted servants, and the crippling of Borealis's influence over the Ice Realm.

Returning to his tribe after the battle, Jarund was no longer a young fawn whom had left the safety of the herd. With the aid of Tormund Brightblade, a respected adventurer from the Emris Adventuring Guild who had chosen to stay behind and help the people of the Ice Realm, Jarund finally confronted his father. The confrontation was inevitable, as Jarund could no longer tolerate the cruelty and fear that ruled the tribe under Staaghorn's leadership. With Tormund by his side, Jarund challenged his father's authority and declared his intention to lead the tribe into a new era, free from the shadow of Borealis.

The battle between father and son was fierce, a test of strength and will that would determine the future of the Caribou Tribe. Though Staaghorn fought with the desperation of a man clinging to power, it was Jarund's vision of a better future that ultimately gave him the edge. In a final, decisive blow, Jarund overcame his father, but instead of delivering a killing strike, he showed mercy. With a single, calculated cut, he removed his father's eye and exiled him to the remote arctic wilderness, a fate worse than death for the once-proud chieftain.

In the aftermath of the duel, Jarund assumed leadership of the Caribou Tribe. His first acts as chieftain were to end the practice of sacrificing tribesmen to Borealis and to seek alliances with the Druids and other wildling clans of the Ice Realm. Under his leadership, the tribe began to heal from the scars of the past and move toward a future rooted in cooperation and respect for all life in the harsh arctic wilderness.

Jarund's actions not only saved the lives of countless tribesmen but also set the Ice Realm on a path of hope and renewal. Though the burden of leadership weighs heavily on his shoulders, Jarund Elkhardt remains committed to the vision of a brighter tomorrow, where the Caribou Tribe can thrive without fear of the cold-hearted god that once ruled over them.
