As the second Avatar of The Sun, Lumina led The Sun Realm during a golden age of expansion and discovery. Further developing the already sprawling ancient Solir civilization of Itela, Lumina was attributed to its continued spread across the lands of Osira. In her reign, she discovered The Earth Realm and developed a symbiotic partnership with the distant land of stone and earth. Eventually falling in love with the presiding Avatar of The Earth, Roc, Lumina bore a son, named Talyen Unknown. Although a blessing at first glance, this would prove to be her ultimate downfall. As her reign stretched into nearly two thousand years given her avatar state, her power was coveted by the deceiver, Malekith, who had recently settled a meager civilization within the southern deserts of The Sun Realm. Using Luminas close confidant Altair Emris against her, Malekith threatened Talyens life in exchange for the Sun-Rifting powers bestowed by the Unknown. Reluctantly accepting to save her only born son, Malekith instead killed her and scorched Itela to ash and ruins, killing hundreds of thousands of Solirs nearly instantaneously, and horribly disfiguring those which survived, turning them into Kroot or cursed spirit apparitions doomed to forever roam the Burned Woods.
