Thavok and Gharok, the Fourth and Fifth Primarchs of the Sun, were once noble Solir battle brothers, renowned for their unity and unparalleled skill in combat. In life, they were devoted protectors of their people, but their unwavering bond and martial prowess drew the attention of Malekith, who twisted their fates. Using two opposing ribs of The Great Serpent, Malekith infused them with its corrupted essence, transforming the brothers into monstrous servants of his will. Together, they became known as the Twin Suns, a pair of unrelenting warriors whose power and savagery were amplified by their unbreakable bond.

The Bond That Burns Eternal

Unlike the other Primarchs, Thavok and Gharok are unique in that their strength lies not in individual power but in their unity. Alone, each is formidable, but together they are nearly unstoppable. Their bond is not only emotional but metaphysical—one cannot be felled without the other also falling. If one twin is slain while the other lives, the surviving brother enters a state of unbridled, berserk rage, growing in strength and ferocity, making him an even greater threat.

The twins wear identical golden Serrakhan ceremonial armor, adorned with intricate carvings that depict the rising and setting sun. Their faces are hidden behind chain-mail headdresses and golden battle masks, lending them an eerie, faceless visage. Each wields a pair of khopesh swords, weapons imbued with the searing energy of the sun, capable of cutting through both flesh and spirit.

The Tale of Twinstone

In the early days of their transformation, Thavok and Gharok were revered as divine protectors by the people of Twinstone, a once-prosperous town in the northern regions of The Sands of Serrakhan. The townsfolk built temples in their honor and offered sacrifices to appease the twins, believing their favor would ensure bountiful harvests and protection from desert raiders.

However, when the people of Twinstone sought the aid of other gods during a time of famine, the twins saw this as a betrayal. Enraged by what they perceived as heresy, Thavok and Gharok unleashed their wrath upon the town, reducing it to ruins in a single night. The once-thriving settlement became a desolate wasteland, known thereafter as the Ruins of Twinstone, a grim reminder of the twins’ fury and the price of their allegiance to Malekith.

The Sunsations’ Confrontation

The mystic Runewright Talus, recognizing the danger posed by the twins, trapped them within a mural of an ancient battlefield, sealing them in the Temple of the Seven Suns alongside the other Primarchs. However, when The Sunsations accidentally released the Primarchs during their exploration of the Tomb of the Seven Suns, Thavok and Gharok were unleashed once more, seeking vengeance and destruction.

The Sunsations confronted the twins in the Ruins of Twinstone, where the Primarchs sought to rebuild their dominion. The battle was one of the most grueling challenges the adventurers faced, as the twins’ shared vitality and overwhelming coordination pushed them to their limits. The Sunsations ultimately triumphed by devising a strategy to strike both brothers simultaneously, severing their bond and forcing their spirits back into the ethereal plane.

Their names are whispered with fear and reverence across the Sands of Serrakhan, and the ruins of Twinstone remain an unholy place where the echoes of their wrath can still be felt.
