History
Ryujin Hattori descends directly from the ancient and revered Unknown lineage, the first Unknown bloodline tracing its heritage to the divine twin draconic gods—Fujin, deity of winds, and Raijin, deity of storms.
The Y’azi Empire was born from the ashes of The Planar Rapture, a cataclysmic era that left the world in ruins. Amidst this chaos, Ryujin Hattori, one of the last surviving Lung Dragons, sought to restore harmony and order to his people. Joined by his two most trusted pupils, Kenshiro Takeda and Masaru Hayashi, Ryujin embarked on a sacred pilgrimage to the mystical Isle of Storms. There, in the presence of the divine twin gods Fujin and Raijin, Ryujin received their profound wisdom and was anointed as the Dragon Emperor.
Entrusted with the divine edict known as “The Song of Storms”, a sacred text containing teachings to reunify and restore balance to the fractured remnants of the Y’azi Peninsula, Ryujin tasked his disciples with critical missions. Kenshiro Takeda was charged with founding the Unknown, a monastic order dedicated to wisdom, contemplation, and the winds of change. Masaru Hayashi was directed to establish the Unknown, warriors whose discipline and strength embodied the storm god's fierce protection and unwavering courage.
Upon returning from their sacred quest, Ryujin unified the fragmented clans of dragonborn and Lung Dragons scattered across the peninsula. Under his wise leadership, the Y’azi Empire rose as a beacon of stability, honor, and resilience amidst the chaos of a wounded world.
Ryujin’s greatest military triumph occurred when confronting the first Warrior-King of Norska, Valkur. At the decisive battle—now immortalized as the Veil of Valkur—Ryujin invoked the eternal storm, summoning Fujin and Raijin to banish Valkur into the Plane of Khaos, securing peace and establishing the empire's divine legitimacy.
To preserve and strengthen his burgeoning empire, Ryujin founded key institutions:
