The Skraelingmen, also known as the Skraeling wildlings or the men of the tundra, were the barbarian tribes of The Vale of Everwinter. They eked out a harsh and bitter life within the Forests of Frostfall. Each entirety of the Skraelingmen lived within one of several tribes, each of which was ruled by a chieftain. Known tribes were the Tribe of The Caribou, the Tribe of the Wolf, the Tribe of the Sabretooth, and the Tribe of the Seal. Each tribe expressed an affinity to the respective fauna which they were named after, oftentimes known to tame and hunt such creatures in symbiotic relationships for survival. In recent years, only the tribe of the Caribou, wolf, and Sabretooth remained after the Seal was killed due to Frost Giant incursions and Rhemoraz hunting patterns increasing due to the persistent cold in the shoreline region.
