The Tribe of The Wolf was one of four ancient tribes of Skraelingmen which lived within the arctic expanses of The Ice Realm. Each tribe expressed a unique relationship to various wild creatures found within the Forests of Frostfall, which they hunted and slowly formed bonds with over many decades. The Wolf Tribe was a tribe of skilled warriors, which utilized tamed winter wolves to aide in their hunts of local fauna such as Caribou, Elk, and Hare. Members of the Wolf Tribe were known to adorn the pelts of their Winter Wolf companions, which to them symbolized respect of the hunting canine which aided their tribe, and a symbol of a status as a proficient warrior. It was often customary of aspiring tribesmen to hunt young Ice Wyvern and fashion their claws as weapons upon their iron gauntlets. Ruling over the tribe was the stout and towering, Wulfgar Beornson, a fair yet unforgiving leader to his people. Due to fierce persecution at the hands of the Frost Giants, Wulfgar held a deep seeded hatred for the devilish creatures which came from Unknown fortress. Unlike the other tribes, the Tribe of The Wolf resided within a hidden winter wolf den near the Frost Giant lands, and preferred their isolated grotto as opposed to the typical nomadic life of the Skraelingmen people. This was mainly in part to their adversarial relationship with the neighboring Frost Giants.
