Sculpted by Unknown in the image of Bjorn the Magma Bear, the Archon of Earth, and born from the elemental essence of Unknown, the Unknown Goddess of Earth, these colossal beings embodied the raw power, stability, and resilience of the land itself.

Origins

Created to aid in The Aeonic Struggle against the Elementari, the Terran Drakes were forged as warriors of unparalleled strength and guardians of the Earth Realm. Their role was not only to fortify the Prime Plane against the destructive forces of the Elementari but also to shape and stabilize the land, ensuring its harmony and enduring balance.

Unlike many of their draconic kin, Terran Drakes were as diverse as the earth they represented. Some possessed mighty wings, allowing them to soar through the skies above the mountains, while others were wingless, their power grounded in the unyielding stability of the land. These drakes were unique in their duality, embodying both the soaring peaks and the steadfast bedrock of creation.

Species of Terran Drake

Terran Drakes existed in two primary forms, reflecting their elemental diversity and purpose:

• Gemstone Dragon - With scales of brilliant gemstones—rubies, emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds—these drakes radiated the beauty and strength of the earth’s treasures. Their shimmering forms were nearly impervious to harm, each scale a reflection of the earth’s resilience.
• Verdant Dragon - These colossal, wingless drakes had rugged, stone-like bodies that mirrored the mountains they commanded. Their presence was a testament to unyielding strength, capable of reshaping the land itself with their sheer mass and elemental will.

Archon of The Earth

The Terran Drakes were modeled after Bjorn the Magma Bear, the Archon of Earth, a primordial being of volcanic power and enduring might. Bjorn’s influence imbued the Terran Drakes with their mastery over Earth-Rifting, the elemental magic that allowed them to shape the land, raise mountains, and forge valleys. Bjorn also served as the spiritual guide for the Drakes, representing the steadfastness and raw fury of the earth in perfect balance.

The Terran Drakes were instrumental in shaping the geography of the Prime Plane. In rare moments of divine intervention, the Earthstone, guarded by Bjorn, chooses a mortal Avatar to carry forward the Drakes’ purpose. These Avatars safeguard the balance of The Earth Realm, ensuring the harmony of the land and its people.
