Cas Coevorden is the head of House Coevorden. He's a 32-year-old former gladiator champion who fought in the Grand Colosseum. He has transitioned into a powerful merchant and politician in The Assembly. After gaining fame and wealth through his exploits in the arena, Cas now channels his ambition and strength into the competitive world of trade and politics. He holds deep grudges, particularly against House Dijkstra, with whom he competes fiercely in the lucrative market of luxury goods, such as gemstones, rare herbs, delicacies, and liquor. Cas sees the Dijkstras as weak and unworthy, believing that power and status must be earned through strength and determination.

Interestingly, despite his rivalry with House Dijkstra, Cas has developed a keen interest in Metira Dijkstra. After a chance meeting, he found her to be surprisingly compatible with his own views.
