The 12 Jewels of Chan-Kaanul are ancient magical relics, once used to create a powerful protective ward for the legendary city of Chan-Kaanul (modern day Seregon) within the Tikhurats of Seregon. When the combined forces of the elves and dwarves defeated the tyrannical warlord Yaxun B’alam in 541 BCE, the jewels were dismantled to prevent their misuse. Over the centuries, the jewels have been scattered and re-purposed into various items, each now carrying different abilities but retaining their immense magical potential.
Reassembling the Jewels of Chan-Kaanul
When all 12 jewels are brought together and reassembled, they are said to unlock the Protective Ward of Chan-Kaanul, restoring the city’s ancient barrier that can shield not only the city but perhaps the entire region. Finding the scattered jewels, however, will require not only the strength to face those who unknowingly wield them, but also the wisdom to understand their ancient purpose.
