Storming of Valusia Keep

543

Wrath-Amon’s Ritual and the Strike of the Sentinels

The Storming of Valusia Keep began as Wrath-Amon and his lizardfolk sorcerers gathered in the great hall for the final rites to summon Bokrug. Chanting in their guttural language, the sorcerers worked to tear open a portal in the heart of the ritual chamber, drawing upon the arcane energy radiating from each of the seven towers. As the portal flickered to life, a sense of looming dread permeated the valley, dark clouds gathering over the keep.

The ΩSentinels of Seregon - Retired, dispatched to stop the summoning, arrived in the dead of night, moving quickly through the fog-draped valley. They infiltrated the keep under cover of darkness, using Ambergris’s arcane prowess to dispel Wrath-Amon’s protective wards and disable the traps that lay hidden within the halls.

In a coordinated strike across the towers, Zuri Ironview led the charge against Wrath-Amon’s elite guards, cutting down lizardfolk warriors with fierce resolve. Meanwhile, Ilmadia Mianala tapped into her druidic magic, harnessing the winds to tear through Wrath-Amon’s ritual circle, scattering enchanted items and destroying his connection to the portal.

The final confrontation took place at the summit of the Tower of Shadows. With the ritual on the brink of completion, Sultan Cirmacin and Ilmadia faced Wrath-Amon himself, a figure shrouded in fury and shadow. Wrath-Amon fought with a mixture of raw power and venomous rage, his spells seething with energy drawn from his long-brewing hatred for the “softskins” who he believed had wronged his people. But Cirmacin’s sword struck true, piercing through Wrath-Amon’s defenses, while Ilmadia’s magic bound him, severing his link to the Great Old One. With a final, furious howl, Wrath-Amon was defeated, his ritual incomplete, and the keep’s hold over the valley was broken. Wrath-Amon teleported away at the last moment.

The Legacy of Valusia Keep

Though the Sentinels succeeded, the keep was left haunted by echoes of the battle, its towers and halls bearing the scars of Wrath-Amon’s dark sorcery. The lizardfolk sorcerers who survived scattered, retreating deep into the jungles of Moog, but some still speak of Wrath-Amon’s prophecy and his promise that Bokrug will one day rise to bring ruin to Seregon. Valusia Keep now stands abandoned, a place where brave adventurers may test their mettle, but few return unchanged.
