S.T.O.R.M.

The Strategic Threat Operations and Response Management is an organization formed in 1995 in a joint partnership between the United States and the Soviet Union with the goal to handle Rift related phenomena. Born as a consequence of the Rift Accords, they consist of many different departments that all work together. From the researchers that analyze the Rifts and develop methods for combating certain side effects, to the field agents that contend with the anomalies on-site.

• Research and Development - handles research of Rifts and the development of countermeasures to both the phenomena and those that are affected by it
• Security - is in charge with managing security for the member states - they monitoring, coordinate local governments and provide support for field agents
• Legal - they deal with ensuring the organization follows legislation, as well ensuring any illegal actions are properly tackled
• Special Operations - is in charge of field agents and manages those who fight or contain Rift related creatures or adjacent side effects
