The Rift Accords

A series of treaties signed by the worlds major powers. Initially proposed by the United States and Soviet Union, supported by many other countries, these accords were meant to address the increasing problem that the the Rifts posed to global security.

The S.T.O.R.M. task force was formed to address these issues. A para-military group funded by all the accord members, dedicated to containing the Rifts and all adjacent elements. 

The treaties also handle the limitations placed on S.T.O.R.M and how their agents conduct themselves in the field. It also provides a legal framework for how the different governments can work together, from sharing information to conducting joint operations between their different institutions.
