The Golden Vault was a secretive organization based in Commona. Its membership and activities were almost impossible for outsiders to track, but those in the know were aware that the organization performed tasks that were often illegal, but supported a moral cause. The Golden Vault's motto reflected its primary motivation: "Do good, no matter the cost."
Secrecy was paramount for the Golden Vault; to protect the organization, a group's handler never provided more information than is absolutely necessary. Similarly, Golden Vault operatives were aware of only a handful of their fellow members. This compartmentalization ensured that no one individual knew enough to jeopardize the organization at large.
