The world of Ostmyr is a flexible, mid-fantasy setting designed for tabletop game systems, and is continuously developing based on the actions of its players. Though many maps have been charted, events have occurred, and adventures have been undertaken, the vast majority of Ostmyr has yet to still be uncovered. All information related to the world can be found in the left-hand sidebar.
Most adventures in Ostmyr take place in Somnum, a subcontinent also known as the "Head of the Greatwyrm". The land's history was shaped in times long past, an Age of Giants when impossibly dangerous creatures and forgotten Spells scarred the earth. As this age came to an end, Mortalborn nations used the impossibly powerful Epochal Artifacts to divide Somnum into settled nations. Insulated from the dangerous and enigmatic "Body of the Greatwyrm," these mortals achieved stability in the period of Common Unification; however, in a world of great magic, such peace cannot last long.
The first game played in Ostmyr, the Murkmire Malevolence, took place in the year 142 on the Common Calendar. To see the game's most recent events, please click on the calendar below.
