Also known as the "closing eye", Ixhis represented the transition from day to dusk. Followers of Ixhis remained secretive across Head of the Greatwyrm, as Smallfolk believed that they were the genderless god of darkness and death. Their symbol was interpreted both as the coming dusk, as well as a closing of an eye, allowing the horrors of night to consume the world. Their existence was theologically thought to oppose Asanye, the "waking eye".
