Swarm of Locusts

A swarm of locusts was a massive, shifting cloud of Locusts that moved as one living entity. Individually small, each locust measured only a few inches, but together they formed dark, undulating masses that could stretch for miles. Driven by hunger and environmental cues, they traveled in synchronized waves, their wings beating in unison and their legs scraping fields bare. The sound of a dense swarm was a constant, grinding hum that heralded destruction.

These swarms consumed every green plant in their path, leaving nothing but stripped soil behind. Crops, pastures, and forests could vanish within hours, bringing famine to humans and scarcity to other animals. Despite their devastation, swarms were temporary, breaking apart once food became scarce or conditions changed. Predators such as birds and reptiles followed them, feeding on the endless supply of insects and briefly tempering the relentless hunger of the swarm.
