Werewolves, derogatively called "wolfmen", were shapeshifters Cursed with Lycanthropy, able to transform into a bipedal Wolf form. Like many other lycanthropes, they were vulnerable to magic and silver, but could otherwise regenerate most wounds. True lycanthropes of this type could infect others and control their shifting, and often lead packs of non-magical wolves.

Werewolves were the most common type of lycanthropes in the world, and grew to be significantly bigger than most other lycanthropes. They were found in all climates, both in the wild and hidden in civilization. Werewolf packs were organized similar to wolf packs, with a powerful alpha in command of the entire group. The moral and ethical outlook of the pack tends to follow that of the alpha, but most trended to savagery and chaos.
