An ooze was a category of creature that resembled an amorphous blob, mostly dwelling underground in the Material Realm. These beings, composed of acidic gelatinous matter, were known for their relentless hunger and ability to dissolve organic material. Their bodies constantly shifted and pulsed, filled with bubbles and undulating waves in various colours. Oozes were often remnants of magical experiments gone wrong or natural creatures mutated by exposure to powerful, corrupting forces.
Despite their lack of a defined shape, some oozes moved with surprising speed, flowing over surfaces and squeezing through cracks and crevices in pursuit of prey. They typically inhabited dark, damp environments where they could remain hidden until an unsuspecting creature wandered too close. In particular, they thrived in places teeming with decay and organic matter, slowly consuming everything in their path.
