Minotaur

Minotaurs were fearsome but rare humanoid carnivores with an uncanny ability to recall any path they ever traveled. Possessing immense size, Bull-like heads, and formidable strength, they were feared adversaries and respected challengers in battles and competitions. Their bodies were adorned with coarse fur that ranged in color from dark browns to deep blacks, though occasional albino minotaurs could be found.

Born into the Lower Realms planes through Demonic rites, minotaurs typically lived solitarily, establishing lairs within dense forests, rocky cliffs, or sprawling mazes where they guarded hidden treasures or ancient artifacts. They were dark descendants of humanoids transformed by the rituals of cults that rejected the oppression of authority by returning to nature. Within these bounded, often labyrinthian environments, cultists hunted wild beasts and indulged their basest primal urges.

In such places, sacrificial animals were exchanged for humanoid sacrifice, resulting in the birth of a minotaur. Though not Fiends, minotaurs natively spoke Abyssal at birth, a result of the ritual that created them. In addition to being manifested through Spellcraft, they could procreate with other minotaurs; though two minotaurs meeting was rare, they were able to continue the species outside of dark ritual.
