The Middleways, sometimes called the "Middledark", were a Deepways realm 3 to ten miles below the surface of the Head of the Greatwyrm and other "Upper Worlds". This was the area where most cities and colonies in the Deepways were located, insulated from the creatures of the Upperways and perils of the Lowerways.
