Margrea Fayan

Margrea Fayan was the firstborn of her generation, raised with the weight of the Fayan dynasty’s expectations placed squarely on her shoulders. The eldest daughter, the Devilborn bested her five younger siblings in nearly all aspects of success. From a young age she displayed a sharp intellect and a ruthless pragmatism, qualities her parents carefully nurtured as they prepared her to inherit the family’s sprawling trade empire. She studied contracts, politics, and foreign markets with intensity, and by the time she reached adulthood, she had already begun to outmaneuver rivals twice her age.

When her parents stepped back from day-to-day control of the Fayan Trading Company, Margrea seized the opportunity with unrelenting focus, quickly consolidating her authority and silencing any within the family who questioned her judgment. In keeping with the family view that virtue names were for low-class devilborn, Margrea embraced her birth name. Though she viewed those who carried virtue names as weak, she nonetheless gave the nickname "Aspirational" to her dullard brother Mormeros Fayan, who she despied.

Under Margrea's leadership, the company grew sharper and more feared, reflecting her own disdain for sentiment and her preference for results.
