Grayson Wildemere

A fourth year student in the Diplomacy Track majoring in Political Sciences.

Grayson comes from an old, moneyed, and influential family. To him, studying at F.L.A.M.E. Academy is a means to an end. Learning business acumen is just as important to Grayson as his classes, so he has joined the Future Entrepreneurs club. Grayson makes a point to know as much about everyone as possible, gathering information until he finds the best circumstances to use it. Having learned to pick locks, he often accesses places where he's unauthorized, searching for secrets.

Grayson has become a writer for the The Flaming Star, where he is responsible for the gossip column. His writing style is biting, and he uses this platform to expose bullies and mock ignorance. Many of his peers are leery of him, but some have witnessed him paying for poorer students' books and other supplies--a fact he tries to keep secret.

Frenemies

There's a particular clique among the upperclassmen that no one else can stand. The children of Skalassa's influential families, be they rich in money, resources, or political favor, have known each other most of their lives through expensive private schools, elite social events, and the business dealings of their parents. Some of them, such as Lail Ravenwood, Dresden Weathervane, and Beth Vandrin are nice enough to talk to on their own, while others, like Jasmine Oak, Grayson Wildemere, and Clyde Thatcher are completely insufferable. When all of them end up talking together at a party about their rich people problems, it's hard not to roll your eyes. Some people wonder how any of them can tolerate each other, but when you've known someone since you took riding lessons together at the age of 5, it's hard to avoid some measure of association.

This is especially true in the case of Beth and Jasmine, who have been 'friends' since early childhood. They took all the same dance lessons, roomed together at private boarding schools, and spend summers visiting each other's family summer home. And yet, there's a vein of jealousy and contempt between them that no amount of cheerful, backhanded compliments can disguise. Many gossips wonder if the two of them will make it through senior year without finally blowing up at each other.

A Hated Rival

Any self-respecting journalist is willing to push boundaries, and Grayson has never been afraid to do so. However, sometimes that lands him in a spot of trouble. Unfortunately for Grayson, he's gotten himself on the bad side of Kaida Greystone after an attempt to sneak into her dorm room to discover what secrets she kept hidden there.

No one has set foot inside her dorm since she began her education at F.L.A.M.E. Academy. Over the years, rumors spread around about what it is she is keeping hidden behind that doorway; is she smuggling someone in every night? Does she have an illegal animal she is harbouring under her bed? Maybe she is just extremely messy and doesn't want people to see? Did she kill someone in her first year and is still trying to get the smell out?

Everyone has their theory. And Grayson was ready to find out. Unfortunately for him, landed him in the Infirmary for two days with two black eyes, a broken nose, dislocated shoulder and twisted ankle. The two have hated each others guts ever since.

Heading into senior year, still no one knows what lays behind that door.
