There's a particular clique among the upperclassmen that no one else can stand. The children of Skalassa's influential families, be they rich in money, resources, or political favor, have known each other most of their lives through expensive private schools, elite social events, and the business dealings of their parents. When all of them end up talking together at a party about their rich people problems, it's hard not to roll your eyes.
