Atlas was captain of a merchant ship in her youth, sailing all over The Téras Sea and The Lilypad Canal. They met their wife, Fallon Finch, while she was on a mission to rescue a beached hippocampus near Atlas's home port of Whiteshore. The two fell in love at first sight, and eventually decided to marry and settle down in Fallon's hometown of Agorá. Once they had children, Atlas left the sea and became a longshoreman so that Fallon could continue her work with the Guild, which required a lot of travel.
These days, Fallon and Atlas are enjoying their retirement. They like to take little trips around the Skalassan coast, reminiscing about their many adventures in their youth. Known to the grandkids as "Pop Pop," they are known for their outlandish stories of her years at sea and their stubborn attitude. She may be grouchy from time to time, but they've got a big heart. They write letters to her three eldest grandkids about once a month to see how they're all doing at school.
